Programmable Eurorack Module
Pepper is a programmable Eurorack module based on our previous-generation Bela platform. It brings Bela’s ultra-low-latency audio and sensor processing into your modular system, letting you run your own DSP code, patches, and interactive behaviours directly in the rack.
Designed for artists, musicians, and developers who want to go beyond fixed-function modules, Pepper makes it straightforward to prototype custom instruments, experimental processors, sequencers, and modulation sources — all using familiar Bela workflows.
What you can do with Pepper? #
- Run custom C++, Pure Data, or SuperCollider patches on hardware.
- Build bespoke DSP tools, CV generators, sequencers, resonators, and more.
- Prototype new module ideas directly in your rack before committing to hardware.
- Interface with sensors, buttons, knobs, switches, and external controllers.
- Use Bela’s browser-based IDE for rapid development, debugging, and iteration.
Pepper brings the Bela ecosystem into Eurorack, so you can create modules that behave exactly how you imagine — or use it as a flexible development platform for future designs.

Works with the Bela IDE #
As with all Bela-powered systems, Pepper is programmed using the browser-based Bela IDE. You can upload code, test patches, inspect signals, and tune performance directly from your laptop — no special tools required.

Related: Salt #
Salt was a limited-run, collaborative Eurorack module designed with Rebel Technology, exploring early ideas of programmable modular control with Bela. Pepper built on that work, improving usabilty and offering a full DIY integration with the Bela toolchain.
